Concert Uniforms 2017-18: Action Needed Nov 8-10

The first Marshall Band concert takes place on December 6th.  All students are required to purchase a concert uniform. This is consistent with Orchestra as well as other local band programs, and allows for a more organized and streamlined approach to concert uniforms.  Students will wear their concert uniforms for the Winter Concert (December), the Pre-Assessment Concert (March), Assessment (March), the Spring Concert (May), and Concert photo day, as well as District and State Band functions if applicable. 

It will be less expensive for everyone if the BPO places one order, but it will need to be placed by November 11, 2017.  All charges will be billed through Charms.

 

Please read the following message carefully, follow the directions, and submit any orders by Friday, November 10, 2017.

1) If you are new to Band...
Liz Curry and Susan Morrison will be measuring during class next week to determine sizes to order.  You will be charged for your child's concert uniform in Charms (see prices below).

 

2)  If you paid for a concert uniform last year...
Please try it on this weekend to see whether it fits.  Because you own this uniform, if it needs to be rehemmed to fit, it is your responsibility to take care of this.
a.    If it fits, congratulations, you are ready for the concert!
b.    If it does not fit and rehemming will not fix it, you can decide to buy new pieces that fit or come in on Reclaimed Shopping Nights (dates and prices below) to see if we have something in inventory that fits.

Uniform Requirements, Measuring and Prices

Boys / Tuxes

  • The tux consists of Notch Lapel Tuxedo Coat, Regular Collar Tuxedo Shirt, Pleated Tuxedo Pants and a bowtie   
  • We are able to purchase the tux as a package set for $96
  • If you want to buy individual pieces (Jacket/Pants/Shirt/Tie), please contact This email address is being protected from spambots.   • Prices of new separate pieces: Tuxedo Coat (Notch Lapel) $56, Tuxedo Shirt (Regular Collar) $25, Adjustable Pleated Tuxedo Pants $25, Bowtie $3
  • Black dress shoes (not included in the package) (marching shoes are acceptable)   
  • If you wish to measure your child, please use these instructions 
  • Reclaimed pieces prices:  Tuxedo Coat (Notch Lapel) $25, Tuxedo Shirt (Regular Collar) $10, Adjustable Pleated Tuxedo Pants $10
  • You will be responsible for basic hemming of pants

Girls / Dresses

  • Girls may wear the black dress or a tux (see above for tux description)
  • If you wish to measure your child, please watch this "how to" video or read this PDF for help with women's measurements

  • New Lillian Dresses are $56.50 and reclaimed dresses are $22
  • You will be responsible for dress hemming
