Individual sales money was to be turned in May 6. Group sales (our Blitz) have started! New this year, we are adding Metro stations during Friday evening rush hour on May 17, so it's really Blitz Weekend, plus a Dine Out at Jasons Deli on Friday May 17 after 5 pm, as well as some shifts on May 4, May 11, and May 26 for those who are not available May 17-18. We are not emphasizing playing music at the locations, since that has been hard to pull off well in the past, but it's optional. We are trying to have more locations, so fewer students per location (up to 3). The Blitz is an All-Hands-on-Deck fundraiser. ALL BAND STUDENTS (including marchers, concert band, symphonic band, wind symphony, jazz band, colorguard and winterguard) are asked to please sign up for a shift. We need a parent chaperone at each shift, too, please. This money helps us purchase music, replace aging instruments, provide instrument-specific sectional instruction, pay competition fees, grant scholarships, and so on. This is NOT a Pearl Harbor fundraiser. Sign up today!

To help maintain our superb band program, students are selling World's Finest Chocolates this spring. The George C. Marshall High School Band is a Virginia Honor Band, having received unanimous Superior Ratings from the judges at both the Marching Assessment and the Concert Assessment in 2018-2019. Selling chocolate helps the band purchase music and uniforms, replace aging instruments, provide master classes and instrument-specific sectional instruction, and attend competitions.
Chocolate sells for $1 per bar. A box contains 60 assorted bars of chocolate. To check out a box of chocolate to sell, please return this signed permission form. Once checked out, a box of chocolate cannot be returned and $60 will be due. Per school rules, chocolate cannot be sold at Marshall. Once you take your chocolate home, please do not bring it back to school.
Check out a box of chocolate by April 24 and get a free bar of chocolate for yourself. Sell 3 boxes of chocolate and throw a pie in Mr. Vesilind's face. Sell 5 boxes of chocolate and throw a pie in Principal Litz's face. Find a golden ticket in your box and receive $5 when you sell all the chocolate. Top selling class wins a pizza party; will it be Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, or Freshmen? Top seller earns a $50 gift certificate.
